The C.Scope cable locator features three familiar detection modes (Power, RADIO, and Transmitter) to choose from. Each mode offers its own specific advantages, and many users are already familiar with using these modes:
- Power mode is the fastest way to detect most buried electrical cables by detecting the signal created by the electrical current itself.
- Radio mode detects retransmitted radio signals in metal pipes and cables, allowing their location to be determined using only the cable locator.
- Transmitter mode detects the signal sent by the C.Scope SGA3 signal generator to a metal pipe or cable. Additionally, the generator mode can also be used to trace non-metallic pipes with the C.Scope sonde.

Depth measurement on the DXL3 cable locator is simple with a depth measurement button located on the top of the product (to be used in TRANSMITTER MODE).

When combined with the C.Scope SGA3 signal generator and accessories, the cable locator becomes a versatile and comprehensive package for locating and tracing pipes and cables.
